Gasoline estimates derive from CNT's 2022 Housing + Transportation Index, converted from modeled vehicle-miles traveled at 24 mpg, an approximate on-road light-duty fleet average from FHWA Highway Statistics. Block-group values are aggregated to H3 hexagons at three resolutions for display. Region Snapshot statistics are population-weighted across raw block groups so they reflect the typical resident, not the typical hexagon. Block groups with fewer than 100 residents are excluded.
Income from ACS 2020–2024 5-year estimates at the block-group level. Where the Census Bureau suppresses block-group income, tract or county estimates are substituted. Named block groups verified against ACS margins of error.
